The teachers I’ve had have all been able to play the piano to accompany me, but I was wondering if you actually need to?
The piano seems to be the basic instrument from which the others can relate to.
Knowing the piano is a great assist in knowing any other instrument, but it is not something that you would have to be proficient in.
