I want to find out more about becoming an RPT. I'm already looking at the Piano Technicians Guild on the web as well as a variety of books and courses online, and would like to hear from successful people who are actually working in this field; i.e. do you have any recommendations, tips, pointers to give me to assist me in my search. I am presently unemployed so cost is a consideration. I love music and thought this would be a good career for me. Thank you in advance for your help.
I would say talk to some professionals in your area. See how they became piano tuners, got a job, etc. There's no better resource that people who actually do it!! Good luck.
