To get the very best sound, there are several necessary adjustments on your Rhodes. Together these can be referred to as “voicing” your Rhodes.
This video walks you through the process. You’ll want to get the tech manual and review the procedures there, but this video will help you know what it will look and sound like when you do it.
Fixing problems with the setup will do more to get a killer sound than any outboard electronics can.
Please note: I’m not a Rhodes tech, I’m a player. If you have a gripe about the video, I am only showing it for information purposes. This may not be the only way to get a great sound, or even the best way.
