I am teaching a 9 year old girl piano lessons, and i'm looking for a fun piano lesson idea. I am using the Suzuki method, however she is bored with most of the songs, and i have trouble keeping her attention.
For the past couple of lessons I've been teaching her to write her own song, and she has been SO excited about it, and her mom says that she's been so excited and has been practicing lots. However, we are starting to finish the song, and I am trying of think of ways to keep her this excited about music. Does anyone have any ideas ? Thank you !!!
Well when I took piano lesons I remember my piano teacher used to give me stickers when I did well, and when I got a certain amount of stickers I got rewards, that was my incentive! She could always tell whether or not I'd practiced that week, it was really weird…
