Ok i have both Sibelius 3 and 5 edition and trying to complete a score.
BUT I can’t get any sound from either of these stupid programmes
I have read the manual and done what its said but no sound will still come out
I have looked through Devices and it has given me the choice to play the sound through 2devices, the first device is my speaker and the second is my midi input keyboard Piano
..
it says press either to check if working, and it only plays through my piano (which i don’t want!)
how can i make it play through my speakers …pleeeeeease, iv been trying for hours, with no luck

I know that Sibelius can be "temperamental" like that. Try this:
-Click on "Play" in the menu bar going across the top.
-Click on "Substitute Devices"
-Under "Play Back Using", each category has a drop down menu. See if you can click around to find something that works.
-You can even try hitting that "reset" button on that window.
OR, try this:
-Click on "Play" in the menu bar going across the top.
-Go to "Playback and Input Devices"
- Click around there and on the 2 tabs on that window as well.
Sorry I couldn’t help much. Just some things I remember doing when I had my MIDI connect to it.
Did you check your "sounds" on your computer itself? Find your sound icon on your computer and double click it. Make sure that all of those slide bars are up (should be like 4 of them….Volume, Wave, SW Synth and CD Player).
Another thing to note is that if you don’t have the original program (if you have a copy of the program), there’s a good chance that not all features will work.
Good luck. You could just listen to it from your piano or you could just remove your MIDI altogether.
