I used to play piano until I quit in 6th grade. Now I am a sophomore in high school, and I really regret quitting, but the problem is that we can’t afford for me to take piano lessons again with a busy schedule and other extra curricular activities. I am at a beginning/intermediate level now, and I would like to improve my piano sight reading and playing more difficult pieces. Any help?
Hi, I’m in the same position you are. Just because we may not be able to afford taking lessons, if you took any note or have your books & a piano or keyboard, use those materials & keep practicing on your own @ home until you can pick up lessons again. If God gave you a gift of music, never let it go. Just because you can’t take lessons right now don’t mean that God can’t continue to work through you in bettering your ability to get better. Practice, practice, practice. Repetition is the key to every success & gift placed in us. Don’t get discouraged, you’ll get there, just have to want it bad enough not to give up. Hope this helps.
