Hi,
When playing piano, I feel like I play best when I have another instrument (drum machine or metronome), it clears my head and makes everything feel like its on autopilot.
But when I take away the drum machine or metronome, i either lose tempo or when I have to count, my head becomes too muddled and then I get too self conscious with my hands etc…
Anyone got any hints for me? Is it a matter of just practicing counting, until it becomes second nature and then it’ll unmuddled my head once that happens?
just keep practicing with a metronome, it takes time to learn how to play a piece with accurate tempo. or try to count aloud first then play it while counting at the same time.
