My mom is pretty much forcing me to take piano lessons until I graduate high school although I really dont want to, and so I usually put off practicing my lessons until the day of the actual lesson with my teacher (which really is getting me nowhere)
I think playing piano can be really cool but I just don't have the motivation, what can I do to get myself interested, so i get better and more able to play advanced compositions… any suggestions?
if you are a piano player, what do you do to stay interested?
I dont currently take lessons (I did in the past) but I remember that if I ever got extremely bored with a piece or exercise that my teacher had assigned I would take a break and play a fun piece. And if you absolutely dont want to play piano at that time than dont, you will just make yourself hate it. Keep your practice sessions short, but practice often. The human mind can only focus for so long.
