Is playing “chords” on the piano really considered “playing the piano”?

Question by M.N.I.S.: Is playing “chords” on the piano really considered “playing the piano”?
I don’t think so, but maybe. What do you think?
I ask because it just seems too easy. Placing your fingers on 3 keys at the same time, and suddenly you play the piano?

I you play chords on a guitar you are playing the guitar ,
so why not on the piano ?…..Katie
