Question by mccard27: Must I use “the” as an article in front of all musical instruments?
For example, if I say “I play piano.” Is that grammatically incorrect?
Any British out there? Same for British English? I heard that “the” is always placed in front of musical instruments. It sounds fine to say, but is it correct in writing?

“I play piano” is grammatically correct. you can’t say “I have piano” though. that wouldn’t make sense :S
