is he asking for confirmation? Is he belieivng he is good and how do I get him into the next stage of practising for longer periods .
He never complains about practise and usually I dont have to remind him to do it .
Thanks for replys .
I would like my kids to learn popular tunes as opposed to classical music ,is this strange ? Are there teachers that will teach popular music
A great answer is "the more I hear you play, the better you seem to get." You've not exaggerated his abilities as a virtuoso, and at the same time, you've encouraged him to play more. It could be that he's looking for affirmation of his liking for the piano, could be he's just looking for a pat on the head for practicing. Either way, you can't lose, and neither can he, to practice more and become even better. You never know … he may turn out to be a concert pianist in the making, or another Elton John.
