I am a stay at home mom who lives in a tiny apartment and have no car. (Hubby takes our only one) I love all music with a passion and would love to how to play an instrument. I have so much time to learn!
I have a basic understanding of music and notes (very basic!) and would like to self teach myself to play something. What would be good for me to start with? Other than a piano or keyboard. Is a violin hard to learn? Please help and thank you ever so much 
i started playing the violin in 1st grade, and it’s not too difficult
but, the hard part is learning where to put your fingers (so you get the right notes)
the best way, if you did decide to learn, is to look up where the notes are (or ask your local music store person) and put little stickers or tape or something, so you can get the right spot
once you know where to put your fingers, it’s much easier and is very enjoyable to play!
