The gospel keys 202 course is probably the most simple and yet best gospel piano lesson that you can find. This was my first dvd that I ever bought of the gospel keys series and I can tell you it revolutionized my piano playing. The first thing that you will learn is from each tone of the scale is what kind of chords you can play off of each tone. So like off the first tone which in this video it is Db you will learn gospel piano chords that all relate to the first tone. SO since the first tone is a major chord in most cases, you will learn all kinds of different major chords and how to form many different inversions of that chord. And it is the same way with every tone of the scale. So the second tone is minor and you will learn chords that are relevant to a Eb minor.

And after you learn all the different chords he will teach you which are all great sounding chords you will learn how to us patterns to put them all together. Which he calls couples, you will learn how most gospel songs move using the 4-5 principle. And after you master this you will know how to play most any gospel song by ear and since you already know some great sounding chords to use you just pick out what chord you want and follow the patter he teaches you . And you will have a unique sounding style of gospel music that you have always been wanting.

If you liked the gospel keys 202 course but you are wanting to learn more chords and more different gospel piano movements that are move advanced then the gospel keys urban pro 600 is the most advanced gospel piano course I have ever bought. It is the same principle as 202 but this gospel piano lesson is packed full of a ton more chords and movements. For the more advanced piano player I would choose this course, but if you are just learning how to play gospel piano by ear then I would go with the 202 because this course is going to teach you two hand chord voicings that is more for if you have a bass player.
