Question by Gloria: Classical piano songs?
I want to learn some classical, or Classically influenced piano songs

Ive been playing for a while now

and Ive just finished learning “The Piano” soundtrack
(big my secret, the heart asks pleasure first/the promise, something about a silver finger etc.etc)

I want something really heartwhrenching to learn. if that makes sense

I know it depends on the player
but i dont want something light
or overplayed like fur elise or moonlight sonata

i know a couple chopin nocturnes (the one in c sharp minor is my fav.)

most/best suggestions will get best answer

Best answer:

Answer by Malcolm D
There are no piano songs, classical or otherwise. Songs are music that is written for voice.
I am not going to suggest anything “classically influenced” as there is really no such thing. However, seems like you might be ready for something very melancholic… try one of the Impromptus by Schubert, No.2 in A flat (Op.142, D.935) might take your fancy.
