i really want to learn how to play the piano but cant afford lessons or a piano! i have an electric keyboard could i practice on that? would it be the same? cus u cant use foot pedals! also how can i learn how to read music etc
You could use the keyboard if you have nothing else, but after a while as you get on to harder pieces of music you might need/want to get a piano as it might not have enough keys (88 is a full sized keyboard)
The keyboard should be fine for now though,
well to start i would buy a beginners book from a music store, these aren't that expensive + ask what the people in the store reccomend.
Also you could try search for beginners tutorials on youtube/ the internet.
I know in youtube people post videos on how to play things, so its probably worth a look.
