I've been playing for years, and can play pretty well. How can I make money doing it? This is something my piano teacher never told me. I don't go to church, but people keep telling me to play for a church. What are other ways?
Choral and vocal accompanying. Playing accompaniments for students who are in competitions. Be aware, however, that much of this music is DIFFICULT. If this is something that your teacher has told you about, then it is quite possible that you may THINK you are pretty good, but not really good enough to make any money at this yet. As I often say – you might think you are one in a million, but chances are that you are one OF a million – just like you.
