Like do they teach you anything, and what did you do for your first piano lesson, if you learn piano.
I’m taking piano lessons now, it’s been a month since now though but I’m still a beginner
well, first of all you must play the do re mi on the piano (after learning their places on the piano of course) and then you’ll learn how to read piano notes…
when I played the do re mi part I found it very difficult since they make you play it with both of your hands but now I laugh at myself lol it became easy now
after all of those basics, they’ll give you a piano note and you must play it, the one given to me was easy so I did it in a day, the teachers saw that so they decided to give me something difficult and I swear it’s very difficult, I’m asked to play Solfeggietto by Bach now and it’s been 2 weeks already and I haven’t reached the half yet -_- I’m depressed~! oh god it’s hard, the teachers think that I’m a genius just because I managed to play that note in a day but I’m not! I’m still a beginner damn it
the rest of the students are given easier notes, it’s just me 
I think it might take a month for me to understand it and years to master it!!
the teachers treat you according to your speed of learning, if you learn fast you’ll be advanced and they’ll give you tougher lessons and if you not they’ll teach you slowly and give you easier lessons
anyways, Good Luck in your lessons, you’ll enjoy them to the fullest just like I’m doing ^___^
