For many years I have had a noise nuisance problem with my neighbour's piano playing where she plays
piano for twelve hour or more each day. Her son now attends a college music course.
This summer holiday he has obtained a xylophone which he also plays for several hours each day.
The xylophone is much as louder than the piano and I have complained to them about it.
They responded by calling the police and claiming I was harassing them.
When the police arrived they said they would arrange for the council to test the noise level
and they are due to come out and test.
My house and the nieghbours are detached.
Since the police attended I have noticed that they have placed cushions against their patio window
presumably to temporarily reduce the noise level when the council come to test.
My question is are there any other things they can do or tricks they can play to reduce the noise
from their piano and xylophone when the council test.
if might not be a xylophone, it could very well be a vibe or even a marimba
