Does anyone know how to change the settings for the mic for an hp laptop so that the sounds aren't so screechy when you record playing piano? Thanks!
How's the sound quality when you speak normally into it?
You might try lowering the mic gain. I don't think my comp has a control for it but yours might, and if it does it would probably be somewhere around here:
1. Open control panel
2. Open Sounds and Audio Devices
3. Click Voice tab
4. Under recording device, click Advanced
But, sad to say, there is a very good chance that the mic on your laptop is just cheap and not intended to record much more than a normal speaking voice 2 feet away from it. Good luck anyway, though!
